IRC Provisioning System v5.0 – Client Connectivity Update

Virtual Hosting Company is excited to provide the following updates on the IRC Provisioning System for WHMCS. Our development team has been working hard at improving the security of how we manage the information used in the IRC Provisioning System for WHMCS. We've been updating the Client, formerly known as the ServerClient, to utilize an API system to eliminate potential security concerns. This change has required the re-work of the Client, changing some of the system requirements.
New Requirements
The Curl package for PHP is now required. This package allows the Client to connect to the WHMCS system directly, using a new API, thereby eliminating the need for SQL-based connections.
Depreciated Requirements
With the addition of the Curl package, php-mysql is no longer required. The re-write of the Client has eliminated the need for direct SQL calls, improving overall speed, stability, and security of the system.
IRC Provisioning System for WHMCS version 5.0 is planned for release in April 2025. Our development team is working hard at overhauling all three aspects of the system, The Module, The Addon, and The Client, to improve internal functionality, enhance the Administrator and User experience, and improve security. If you're interested in being a beta tester, we're interested in having your feedback. Version 5.0 beta is expected to be live on March 1st, 2025.
